Formed out of the ashes of the enigmatic Bristol five-piece Wushcatte, Widescreen combines the strong and original song-writing talents of John Douglass with Richard Grassby-Lewis' always magical production to create a truly beatiful and enigmatic album.
An important part of Wushcatte's studio sound had been
the production and engineering of Richard Grassby-Lewis,
and he found himself joining John & Steve
in a new project as a 'one man band'. They decamped for
a couple of months to Massive Attack's recently completed
Christchurch studio, where they fashioned the tracks that
eventually emerged as the unique and
exquisite
WIDESCREEN album.
